My name is Mindy Haller and I live at 25 Girard Ave in Chatham. We recently received an estimate for indoor and outdoor work from Greg, who was very nice and personable. We were happy with the price for the outdoor work and quickly scheduled that job since the impending cold weather was a factor, but got some more estimates on the indoor work.

The person who came to do the work seemed like a very nice gentleman, however he did leave a few times in the middle of the job and also talked (on a wireless headset) for most of the time he was working. Initially, I didn't mind at all, I thought it was good for him to have some "company" while he was working. Along the way, I had noticed that his work was a bit sloppy - there were some drips on the rocks on our stoop, a little one the walls, and a lot on the glass - but was sure he would take care of it all at the end. The work took longer than he expected because the color required three coats, so he was here for almost two entire days. (Which made me think about how little this poor guy must be getting paid, even if all of the money we paid went entirely to him.) And not only did he not scrape, or clean drips, but he lost the screw to our mailbox which now hangs crooked on one screw. When my husband came home and saw the work that was done his exact words were, "I guess you really do get what you pay for." But honestly, we weren't looking for a bargain.

I contacted Greg yesterday who said that the foreman would be out to our house (yesterday) to take care of the drips and the paint on the glass which made me very happy. By the end of the day, no one ever showed.

Also at the end of the day yesterday, the company that we hired to do the indoor work, Ace Painting, finished the job of painting our living room and foyer. The men were extremely professional, took their time, yet finished two entire rooms including moving furniture and rugs, the plastering and sanding in just two days. The end result is immaculate, impeccable, which provided a stark contrast to the work we had done outside.
